Who can benefit from this scheme:

• Any indigent elderly person aged 60 years or above is eligible for assistance.
• Under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (Vay Vandana) the age of the person should be more than 60 years.
• Only those who are included in the BPL list with a score of 0 to 16 are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
• In order to receive the assistance of the old age pension scheme (Vay Vandana), the provision of income eligibility criteria for age pension scheme is 1,20,000 (one lakh and twenty thousand) per year for the family and 1,50,000 (one lakh and fifty thousand) for the urban area. This scheme is eligible if there is such income.

Vrudh Pensan Yojana assistance is available as follows.

750/- rupees are deposited directly through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) in the post/bank account of the beneficiary every month to the beneficiaries of the old age pension scheme.

• The operation of online applications under Vrudh Pensan Yojana by the Gujarat Government is to apply online from the Digital Gujarat Portal at the Gram Panchayat which is done at the online center.
• The application has to be filled online from the VCE (Village Computer Entrepreneur) at the Gram Panchayat or from the CSC center on the Digital Gujarat portal (Digital Gujarat login).
• First, the Vrudh Pensan Yojana form should be scanned and submitted to the VCE of the Gram Panchayat, after which the VCE will enter the online form on the Digital Gujarat Portal.
